Putridetta's Poisonous Pastries
Biddy Putridetta Blench knows a delicious rotten cake when she sees one. Not one to waste week-old pastries, Putridetta makes the rounds to all the bakeries regular folk patronize and buys up all the decomposing pastries for a song. Then, on weekends, she sells the delectable, mold-encrusted goods to appreciative witches who flock from far and wide to the witches’ fair in the village of West Slump to purchase them. Business is always brisk. No niggling or brabbling is allowed – prices are reasonable and fixed. Putridetta advises all her regulars to come early (and they do!) for the best selection.
This miniature stand was a cast-off purchased at a mini fair for one dollar. Once repainted, I added two beams to support the tent roof. I added some pennants and a few “gift bags” printed off the computer. The money box is a second-hand treasure and is FILLED with money (also printed off the computer). Be not tempted. The money is of no use to any but 1:12” folk. Putridetta and her helper, Edilda, were made by Bernadette Rodriguez of England. One shopper witch was made by Joy Cox of England and the other, with the long, white braid, is a doll by Nicki Bott of England which I shod, wigged and dressed. The cakes were chosen from a surfeit of my vast collection of rotten mini cakes.
