Sinestra Nettleburn's Humble Abode
Sinestra Nettleburn is out to snare a man, preferably, a male witch. At 53 years of age, she has to work hard at it. Beauty potions of the standard variety like udder balm and compelling oil are slathered on at every opportunity. Others, like ‘Life Renewal’ and ‘Come to Me’ Potion are judiciously applied and, being a bit more esoteric, require years of study before being employed. All are at a hand’s reach in her modest but cozy bedroom. Her wand lays at the ready on her dressing table bench. Her pet turtle knows just when to crawl in with her dead-of-night swamp water tea – 3:00 a.m. - truly the most stagnant hour of day or night. Sinestra has a bit of a soft spot for dolls and dollhouses as you can see. Her magical staffs keep up a steady banter with the teapot and table and the quarreling jacks seem to be nattering at each other night and day. There’s no shortage of gossip in Sinestra’s boudoir.
This room was completed in 2010 or so. The doll is made by Jendlewick Dolls. The table and hand with eye are made by Sandy Copeland, the tea set, doll and doll bed, staffs and quarreling jacks by Kimberley Milliard and the scarecrow painting is by Linda Silar.
