Tala's Abode
Tala, Witch of the Lonesome Wilds, has a small cottage on the edge of the forest. A busy witch, she spends much of her days foraging for grubs, roots and berries. Her cat, Sly is a real scaredy cat. Incredible as it seems, he is terrified of mice. One little mouse will send him into paroxysms of fear such that, when Tala heads out to comb the wilds for comestibles, Sly spends most of his day perched on his terrified tippy toes on a chair yowling in dismay. The mouse, of course, rules the roost and scurries about unconcernedly all the while. What a life! Tala has no patience for such behavior but, there’s no hope for it.
The witch, her crystal staff, cat, some toothy pumpkins and various jars of pickled body parts were made by Kimberley Milliard of Canada. She also made the face jar holding some wands. The house was a creation of Grimdeva of Cauldron Craft Minis and made in 2009. A fabulous organic chair, a staff rack and an over-sized moon face tome was created for the cottage by Kay Shipp. A wonderful centipede jar was made by Tiffany Redeker of Griffin’s Lair. A troll jar on the mantlepiece was made by Trollflings. Jenny Kelm of England made the troll face picture over the fireplace. Dead Spider created the bottle of Instant Darkness and the skull. Talented artists all!
