Thatta and Hindu Temples, 2017
My family lived in Thatta, Sindh until 1947 when my grandfather left following the partition of India. Since then, few members of my family's community have returned to visit. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit in March, 2017 guided by a small group of Hindu and Muslim Pakistani friends familiar with the area. These pictures focus on the old city and the Hindu temples which stand to this day.

This tall flag pole is made from a single piece of wood. It is said by some that it was floating in the river and where it stopped they decided to build the temple. Originally, the pole was even taller before the top section broke off.
